Together, we offer an innovative shutdown management solution that can significantly reduce the use of conventional manhole watches or – depending on the operating conditions and the safety concept – replace them entirely.
Our field operators and monitor operators support shutdown projects on site throughout. Combined with Spider technology, relevant camera images and readings are captured and monitored centrally. This allows safety processes to be organised more efficiently, staff to be deployed more effectively and shutdowns to be carried out more economically.
The decisive advantage: considerable savings potential compared with conventional manhole watches. By intelligently combining people and technology, labour-intensive monitoring concepts can be optimised, unnecessary staff commitments reduced and the costs of shutdowns and turnarounds lowered significantly – without losing sight of safety.
The system: cameras, sensors and monitor
Spider is an innovative monitoring and sensor system for high-risk activities and maintenance work – such as work in vessels and confined spaces, hot work or maintenance in hard-to-reach places.
- Cameras and sensors: in addition to video monitoring, the system can be extended with further sensors, including gas detectors.
- Monitor workstation: from here, the monitor operator can keep an eye on several vessels and confined spaces and the work inside them at the same time.
- Real-time data and reports: reports are generated in real time and provide key insights into the ongoing project.
More efficiency, more insight
For a plant to restart quickly after a shutdown, the work must be carried out safely and efficiently. Spider is a smart, mobile system that is easy to set up and can also be used for short projects. With Wi-Fi, 4G and 5G, it is technically state of the art.
Data collected during the project is available in real time. The reports reveal trends from which safety improvements can be derived – in current and future projects. Existing industry solutions can be connected to the technology: it detects, checks and alerts.
